About Me

Innovation | Sustainability | Management

Hi, I’m Cristina, and since I was young, I loved asking questions. Somewhere along the line, I advanced from asking “Why can’t I have ice cream?” to asking questions as a living. Nowadays, I like asking questions related to business strategy, technology development, sustainability, and even ice cream too.

I hold a Bachelor of Engineering & Management (Ontario Tech University) and a Master of Science in Management (Toronto Metropolitan University). I eventually landed on a career in analytics, as it was a path that combined my passion for solving problems with opportunities to interact with cross-functional teams across an organization. Beyond my educational experience, I have been working with data for 4 years, with experience in software development and the financial services sector.

In my spare time, I swim, bike, and run long distances for fun. Like how data is used to direct decision making in the workplace, I use data to direct my triathlon/marathon training. Lately I’ve been playing around with prior marathon data to help me understand the relationship between my run cadence and heart rate (i.e. how hard my body is working).

Much of my knowledge of data analysis has been self-taught (such as Python for data analysis), but I’m excited to be in a field where there’s still so much to learn, and yes, many more questions to ask.
